1990 New Year’s Meeting – DCCS

Summary

In this meeting Paul stressed the importance of the law of one above another with an opening line of “If we choose not to be one with the Lord we choose not to be the Lord’s people.” He discussed the idea that the Order people (the DCCS members) should bind Satan with the law of one above another. He quoted the common quote from Elden Kingston #1 of “Intelligence that cannot be governed is worse than Chaos.” This was the second New Year’s meeting after Paul had granted numbers (first granting, second granting). He set them up as an example for the rest of the Order people to follow.

Carl Kingston #16 discussed the parable of the wedding feast and stories from the beet fields. Ivan Neilsen #19 mentioned Elden #1 saw the Savior, Jesus Christ and talked about gaining a testimony in the Co-op. Many others talked and the meeting had two sessions, a morning and afternoon session.

Commentary

After giving out new authority to a group of men in the Order, the new Numbered Men, Paul had to keep them in line by reiterating the importance of the law of one above another from the 1940 meeting. Many numbered men got up and talked about gaining a testimony in the Co-op.
