1990 LaMar Jenkins Conflict – Governing Board Meeting

Summary

In 1990 LaMar Jenkins, then a member of the DCCS, requested his property be in his name and did not want his money to be in the DCCS coffers. This governing board meeting includes the thoughts of Paul and others on what to do regarding the demands LaMar was making to have dominion and control over his assets.

Commentary

Important context is that LaMar was the first individual to build computer systems for the accounting and financial needs of the DCCS. After LaMar finished building the computer financial systems for the DCCS and after he had finished training Daniel, Paul, and other children of Ortell on how to run the systems, then LaMar was removed from the project. This was clearly a move by Paul to assert unchecked power and control over the DCCS financial system. LaMar was removed from the project likely because he could be a check on the power and honesty of Paul, Daniel, Rachel Young, and many others.

  1. Hey I’m reading this document and towards the end Wendell Owen (34)’s comments doesn’t make sense. He’s suddenly talking about Alan then Lamar. Are you excluding information? Or how is these meeting minutes verifiable with such jumbled speech? Also the commentary has a lot of your personal opinion. Do you have documents that actually back that claim? This document doesn’t present a power struggle. It presents information on how their Cooperative works and how they delt with someone that didn’t want to abide by the Cooperative’s rules. Would like to hear a response, Thanks!

  2. Some of the meeting notes are missing. This the text from the original document.

My opinion is my take on the situation. My claims are my own. If you don’t like them, don’t worry about them.
