Summary
In the first transfer of power meeting Wendell and Elden Kingston (Gustafson) signaled their support of Paul and their concerns about Merlin’s health.
In this meeting Ivan, Raymond (Ray), and Merlin discuss the voice and concerns of the Order people. Again, Wendell, Elden, and Paul stress the need to be harmonious and united and Wendell and Paul put pressure on making a decision quickly.
Merlin states he wants to take time to strive and find out what is the best decision.
Paul states that the Lord has already made a decision and that the Order people cannot make that choice for themselves, that they don’t have the power to chose that. They can chose to accept the Lord’s choice though.
Merlin expresses that if Paul is the Lord’s choice that he would support Paul in everything Paul does that is in line with the Lord.
The meeting ends without a decision, though things are clearly leaning towards presenting Paul as the choice of the governing board. Merlin has concerns that Ivan and Ray are willing to hear.
The next meeting, held without Paul, Daniel, or non-board members, goes into depth on the concerns Merlin, and others, had.
