Summary
Worried about the problems he had seen with Eskel, LaDonna, and Paul, Merlin called this meeting at the homeplace, Ethel’s house in Bountiful, with only the governing board members, specifically not including Paul, Daniel, or others. Ardous was there as the notekeeper.
Eskel was accused of wanting to control the DCCS and Daniel and Paul were accused of lying about the accounting reports to Ortell to sway his thinking and reasoning. And, most egregious, LaDonna was accused of
Oppressive taxation, even to slavery, and underage marriages were some negative conditions Merlin predicted would occur if Paul were to take power.
Wendell commented indicating he would not like to see the Order broken by being split in this decision.
